Mission & Outreach

Larison’s Corner in it’s 200 + ministry has reached out to those in need with love in service to God and the community. Members and friends have been active volunteers with their resources and time. And others have shared their talents so that together many contributions have been made to worthwhile organizations near and far.

We hope that you will consider a contribution to support Larison’s Corner Mission and Outreach.

BLESSING BOXES

Lois Riggs and other church members and friends are putting together Blessing Boxes for shut-ins and those struggling. Bakers are needed, donations are needed, etc. Reach out to Lois if you are willing to help bake, shop, assemble or deliver. Help put a smile on those who need loving care from us.

HELP STRUGGLING FAMILIES

Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian is helping struggling families with food/item needs. They are giving families a bag of food/supplies each month with the following items: cereal, pancake mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, pasta and sauce, tuna, soup, Chef Boyardee, toilet paper and paper towels.

There is a drop-box at Larison’s for items to be given so you can bring them to our church and we will deliver them. Please place donations in the bin outside the BACK DOOR/SIDE entrance of the church.

Also, please continue to spread the word about the Blessing Box.  If you know of families that need help, please contact Kirkpatrick Presbyterian Church at 908.782.1177 or admin@kirkpatrickchurch.org
Kirkpatrick Presbyterian is located at 37 John Ringo Road, Ringoes NJ, 08551

Flemington Area Food Pantry

THE FLEMINGTON AREA FOOD PANTRY provides food and personal care items to needy Hunterdon County families regardless of race, religion or ethnic backgrounds.  In Hunterdon County with a population of 126,000 people, an estimated 5,000 people have incomes below the poverty level.  Food insecurity is a national problem.  Larison’s Corner recognizes this important outreach. Our church regularly supports the Food Pantry with ongoing donations and the Christmas Eve offering goes to the Flemington Area Food Pantry to help those in need.

The church offers the FLEMINGTON MEALS ON WHEELS a satellite location to store and pick up their storage food containers.

Larison’s Corner church has held a coat drive that starts in the fall and continues throughout much of the winter. We collect gently used coats, hats, mittens, gloves, sweaters, and similar items to keep people warm in winter.

Fisherman's Mark

Larison’s Corner regularly supports the outreach of FISHERMAN’S MARK.

Fisherman’s Mark has been a part of the community for over 36 years, providing not only services that meet basic needs, such as food and affordable childcare, but going beyond crisis to partner with individuals and families to break the cycle of crisis and promote self-sufficiency and wellness.

Our comprehensive programs respond to the needs of vulnerable populations in our area: seniors, individuals living with disabilities, the local immigrant population, low income families, the unemployed and underemployed. We assist with any crisis that presents: homelessness, domestic violence, job-loss, insurance issues, financial crisis or medical, substance abuse or mental health issues. We truly are “Help When Help is Needed” and we are there for the entire community.

Fisherman’s Mark is a celebration of neighbors coming together to support neighbors. WE are what community looks like.

THOMAS LAMBERT OUTREACH FUND
The Thomas Lambert fund collection is for the month of November. Donations submitted
will be used to support individuals in need and worthwhile causes during the Christmas Season. Thomas Lambert was a dedicated and faithful member of Larison’s Corner for many years
and his life had a great impact on our church and in our community. This collection honors his life and legacy. Checks should be made out to Larison’s Corner with a note in the memo
saying, “Thomas Lambert Fund.” Or cash in an envelope with a note on the outside,
saying, “Thomas Lambert Fund.”
